“Barbenheimer,” the hit films “Oppenheimer” and “Barbie” were big movie favorites ahead of the evening’s Golden Globe film and television awards ceremony.
“Barbie,” nominated nine times, had to see itself beaten in several categories, while “Oppenheimer” was the winning film of the evening.
Around 02 Norwegian time, many of the world’s biggest actors flocked to the red carpet in Los Angeles to commemorate film and TV from 2023.

Minutes after the awards ceremony began, “Oppenheimer” walked away with its first award when Robert Downey Jr. won the Best Supporting Actor category for his role as Lewis Strauss.

“Oppenheimer” and Christopher Nolan also took home best director, while actor Cillian Murphy took home best male actor in a drama.
Additionally, the film won the award for Best Original Score and Best Drama.
“Oppenheimer” thus collected a total of five awards and became the most winning film at this year’s awards ceremony.
The TV series “Succession” performed well in the TV category and received awards for Best Supporting Actor in a TV Series, Best Actor in a Drama Series, Best Actress in a Drama Series and Best TV Drama.
He won a new award
“Barbie”, for its part, had to wait a long time and be beaten in several categories before Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell won the award for best original song “What Was I Made For?” from the movie.
Also new this year was the “Film and Ticket Sales” award. The award also went to “Barbie”, which grossed 1.4 billion dollars, making it the highest-grossing film in Warner Bros. history.
Margot Robbie, who plays the title role in the film, took the opportunity to thank all the fans who dressed in pink to see the film in cinemas. She herself arrived at the awards ceremony in a pink “Barbie” dress.
She thanked her ex-husband
The Netflix series “Beef” also secured three awards. The miniseries won the award for best male and female protagonist in a miniseries and the award for best miniseries.
Ali Wong took the opportunity to thank her ex-husband Justin Hakuta.

The serial hit “The Bear” also collected three awards. The series won the award for best male and female actor in a comedy series and for best comedy or musical series on TV.
Both Oppenheimer and Barbie were nominated in the best screenplay category, but were beaten by Justine Triet and Arthur Harari’s “Anatomy of a Fall.” The NBC commentator, confident that one of the two blockbusters would win the prize, describes it as “the first riot of the evening.”
The French dramatic thriller also won the award for best foreign film.
