Giant tree discovered in the world’s deepest canyon

The tree was discovered in 2023 by a team of experts using a drone while measuring

In addition to the cypress tree that is over 102.3m tall, experts also found a large number of giant trees that are over 85m tall, and 25 of them reached a height of over 90m.

The Tibet Autonomous Region is said to possess a unique ecosystem affected by global development and climate change.

Currently, the world’s tallest tree is confirmed to be a coastal redwood located in the Redwood National Park in California, USA, with a height of 116m, dating from 600 to 800 years old.
