How to Obtain Your Digital Membership
To obtain your Digital Membership, you need to have your Costco membership registered for online purchases and have the Costco app installed on your mobile device.
Make sure your device meets the following requirements:
- Android 9 or higher operating system
- iOS 11 or higher operating system
It is crucial to have version 16.4 or higher of the Costco app to access your Digital Membership. Please note that the Costco app is currently not available for Huawei-branded devices.
Activation Process
- Download the latest version of the Costco App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- Open the Costco app and log in to your account. If you are not registered, select “Register Now” and follow the steps to create an account.
- In the “My Account” section, click on the “Get it today and activate it in store” button for Digital Membership.
- Accept the terms of use for the Digital Membership by clicking on the “Get your Digital Membership” button. This links your membership to your device, providing a digital extension of it. Valid for purchases at Costco Mexico only.
- Agree to the photo use agreement for your Digital Membership and follow the guidelines for taking a photo:
- No photos with pets
- No animations (GIFs)
- No landscapes
- Do not include more than one person
- Once you are satisfied with your photo, click the “Use this photo” button or choose “Take another photo” to change it.
- In the “My Account” section, you will see your Digital Membership marked as “PENDING” in red.
- Visit the Membership module at any Costco branch with an official identification to activate your Digital Membership. They may also ask for additional information such as your cell phone number, device’s operating system, brand and model, and service provider.
- After activating your Digital Membership, swipe down the screen of your device or reopen the app to update it.
