Victoria & Albert’s gourmet restaurant at the Disney theme park in Florida was awarded a Michelin star, the first time a theme park establishment in the United States has received this coveted culinary award.
“It is an incredible honor to be recognized by Michelin for the innovative gastronomic experience that our team brings to life,” Matthew Sowers, the chef who commands the restaurant’s kitchen and has been working in its kitchen for almost twenty years, said in a statement this Friday.
The restaurant, located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa hotel in Orlando, is also the only one in Florida to hold the honor of having the AAA Five Diamonds, consecutively since 2000, and the Forbes Travel Guide Five Star awards, consecutively since 2018. .
