Germany is on the verge of strikes

There was a time when German railway timetables were so accurate that they justified the slogan: “Based on Deutsche Bahn you can set your clocks”. Those times belong to the distant past. Today Deutsche Bahn’s image is the worst compared to the railways of neighboring countries. The delays are a permanent wound and since last December the passenger public has been faced with continuous strike actions by the train drivers’ union, which also affect freight transport with enormous consequences for the country’s economy.
