“I have a holy horror, beyond Depardieu, for the hordes of dogs, for those who put a man on the ground, for the blows, for the implacability”, which is “unacceptable”, he launched on our antenna.

The actor “did not know” the initiator of the platform

Gérard Darmon also returned to the genesis of his purchase. He still acknowledged that there was “a grandiloquence in this petition” that did not “suit him.” His name thus joins a list of numerous signatories who have expressed “discomfort” with the content of the article or its co-author. Carole Bouquet, Yvan Attal and Nadine Trintignant had already distanced themselves from this very controversial text.

The actor added that he does not personally know Gérard Depardieu – who was the target of three complaints of rape and sexual assault and indicted in one of the cases – although he “really likes” the “extraordinary, free and disturbing character”.

Words that don’t shock him

When asked about Gérard Depardieu’s controversial comments in North Korea where he multiplies, in a sequence broadcast on France 2, misogynistic and obscene comments against women and a little girl, Gérard Darmon replied that “the real perverts keep quiet”. “He talks about it like he talks about a recipe,” he continued.

According to him, “the important thing” is the “rapes”. If a court convicted Gérard Depardieu for these facts, “I would be the first to tell him: ‘You’re an asshole.'”
