On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2012, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong visited and wished longevity to the Elderly Association of Lai Da village (Dong Hoi commune).

Mr. Vuong Khac Con (81 years old, residing in Hamlet 7, Lai Da Village, Dong Hoi Commune, Dong Anh District) took a photo with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong during a visit to his hometown. Mr. Con was a classmate of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong from primary to secondary school.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Viet, Secretary of the Lai Da village Party Cell and also the head of the Nguyen Phu family, said that two weeks ago, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong visited his hometown and the house at the beginning of the village.
“That day, the General Secretary returned to burn incense for his ancestors and visit the newly renovated house with tiled roof and garden,” Mr. Viet said sadly.
