LH deputy Landbauer: Company runs strengthen the sense of community within the company and actively promote more sport and exercise
St.Pölten (OTS) – In a press conference at Raiffeisen Corner St. Pölten on Thursday, information and innovations about the largest company run in Lower Austria, the Vision Run, which will take place for the ninth time in 2024 under the motto “Gemmas on”, were presented.
“It is incredibly gratifying to see that more and more companies are focusing on company health care and, together with their employees, putting sporting activities first,” said LH deputy Udo Landbauer in his statement. Personally, he is pleased that company runs are gaining more and more interest. These are a “win-win situation for employees and employers” because “playing sports together with colleagues strengthens the sense of community and actively promotes more sport and exercise.” Only a fit employee is one who can perform appropriately and so too Together we can bring the company forward, said Landbauer and referred to other company run events in Lower Austria such as the spusu Lower Austria company challenge and the community challenge: “Both formats with a similar background to the Vision Run: namely to encourage companies to run together with them “Our employees are encouraged to be physically active,” says Landbauer.
St. Pölten city councilor Heinz Hauptmann said: “The combination of sport, charity and cohesion is particularly important in the current challenging times.” The Vision Run is also an important pillar “for the development of St. Pölten into a ‘Fit City’. “
Representatives of Raiffeisenbank, the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce and the Lower Austrian Chamber of Labor – main sponsors and long-standing partners of the Vision Run – also had their say. Ernestine Grießler, Managing Director of the Raiffeisenbank Region St. Pölten, particularly emphasized the three aspects of “doing good things for yourself, growing together as a team and the social component”. Robert Hörmann, head of the operational activities and youth projects department in the AKNÖ, spoke of the “focus on health care” as the reason for the long-standing partnership and Mario Burger, chairman of the WKNÖ St. Pölten district office, said: “Training together and a common goal strengthen cohesion and are a benefit for every company.”
The sporting ambassadors of the Vision Run also took part in the press conference – former professional footballer Michael Hatz and Barbara and Johannes Aigner from “Team Aigner”, who underlined the importance of the Vision Run in terms of social commitment.
Franz Kaiblinger, “head of Team Vision Run,” said that the Vision Run was “more than just a company run.” Since 2014, the five-kilometer run-walk event with its combination of sport, business, fun, health and social commitment has attracted almost 20,000 participants to St. Pölten and raised over 180,000 euros in donations. The following projects are supported: Antlas St. Pölten, Caritas Nothilfe, Lichtblickhof e.motion, St. Pölten day care center and, this year, new Ambulatorium Sonnenschein and NÖVSV Tanja Klauser. “In 2024 we have also completely redesigned the finish line; there will be a third pagoda village directly at the finish line with its own video wall and the route has also been changed,” says Kaiblinger.
A tour of the running route for the ninth Vision Run is possible on August 6th at 5 p.m. Registration for the company run is already open. All information and details online at www.visionrun.at
