Gaza / Hamas “does not want a deal on hostages or a ceasefire” – Says Mossad

Hamas has rejected the latest proposal to declare a ceasefire put on the table by mediators in the indirect negotiations a week ago. This is what the Mossad, Israel’s spy agency, claims in a statement released by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to the text of the announcement, this attitude of Hamas shows that its leader in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Sinwar “does not want a humanitarian agreement, nor the return of the hostages”.

Yahya Sinwar “continues to take advantage of tensions with Iran” and wants to ensure “escalation in the region”, continued the announcement, which was made public a few hours after the attack launched by Tehran against Israel with hundreds of drones and missiles.

Israel “will continue to pursue its goals in Gaza with full force and will leave no stone unturned for the return of the hostages,” the statement said.
