Ganjar-Mahfud Gather at Butet’s House, Netizens: The Truth Will Find a Way

JAKARTA – Netizens have hopes for candidate pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD to continue the struggle in facing fraud in the 2024 election.

This was one of the comments made by netizens in response to the upload of a photo showing Ganjar and Mahfud together with artists gathered at Butet Kartaredjasa’s house in Bantul, Yogyakarta, Monday (11/3/2024). This moment was uploaded by the Instagram account @mohmahfudmd.

The uploads of the meeting were attacked by netizens who wanted both pairs of candidates, as well as artists continuing to fight to uphold true democracy.

“The most wuasuuu election, this election… THE TRUTH WILL FIND A WAY IF FIGHTED, Prof,” wrote the account @mashudi.zakaria, quoted Monday (11/3/2024).

Meanwhile, Mahfud in his statement said that his meeting with Ganjar and artists, cultural figures and academics was to relieve his longing for the delicious food prepared by Butet’s wife.

“I miss the delicious food made by Mrs. Ageng, his wife @masbutet Kartaredjasa. Today, I, together with Mas @ganjar_pranowo and fellow artists, cultural figures, activists and several Yogya academics, were hosted by Mas Butet at his residence, in Bantul, DIY, ” wrote Mahfud.

Apart from eating delicious food, the meeting was also a gathering for the month of Ramadan which falls on Tuesday (12/3/2024). Not to forget, this former Constitutional Justice wished Happy Ramadan Fasting, Happy Nyepi Day to Hindus who celebrate this day, and Happy Lent Fasting to Christians.

“This is a friendly gathering ahead of the Ramadan fast tomorrow. Oh yes, happy Nyepi Day, happy Ramadan fasting, and happy Lent fasting for friends who celebrate,” wrote the former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK).

The meeting also discussed the current political situation, and was accompanied by songs sung by renowned artist from DI Yogyakarta, Encik Krisna.

“As usual, our fun meeting was accompanied by Mas Encik Krisna’s cool songs, Mas Susilo Nugroho’s jokes, Mas Dodi Ambardi’s political chatter, and other friends. Anyway, what a great word Mas Butet said :),” wrote Mahfud, mentioning several of the artists present.
