G. Tsigros: TEE is an institution with a future

The “journey” of the TEE Roadshow to Epirus started from Ioannina on Sunday. With a central message “100 years of TEE: we have been planning the Greece of tomorrow for a hundred years. And we continue”, the TEE Roadshow is traveling this week to cities in Epirus to bring the celebration of the 100 years of the Technical Chamber of Greece closer to the society. The TEE Roadshow is a well-organized mobile platform for conducting festive activities that will visit more than 45 cities throughout Greece. It travels for about three months throughout the country, where through interactive experiences, competitions and other surprises, the public will have the opportunity to get to know the rich history of the TEE but also the important work it offers to the place, bringing the TEE, the Regional Departments and the Prefectural Committees closer to the general public as well as to its members throughout Greece, with a diverse information activity.

THE president of the Epirus Department of the TEE, Yiannis Tsigros spoke about the important role of TEE Epirus.

“The technical chamber, in the context of the 100-year celebration, today presents to the city of Ioannina a retrospective of the entire 100-year role of the Technical Chamber, which is a technical advisor to the state and the state. It has proven that it is the largest scientific institution that currently exists in our country and an institution that, beyond the past and the work it has done, has a long future ahead. We have to proceed with the digital transformation, we have the local urban plans, the green development, all this in the digitization of the state, all this is done on the basis of the Technical Chamber.
At the same time, the Epirus department of the TEE came out of the context of introversion it had all these years and in the context of extroversion it has held events and we have now managed to be Technical Advisors of the Municipality of Ioannina in the completion of the effort to include the city of Ioannina in the “European Mission 100 climate neutral and smart cities by 2030”. In which they have undertaken and established for the first time in our country the institution of “Neighborhood Engineer” for which our Department received a prestigious mention from the European Union”. We have already managed to have a close collaboration with the Polytechnic school, we have held many events on the burning issues of the area and we have informed our colleagues on all issues, earthquake control, saving, environmental issues, whatever issues exist in the area, for the isolated areas, we highlight isolated areas, we honored our colleague Panagiotis Papanikolas and dealt with the maintenance of bridges, we honored Petros Babasikas who came from Toronto to carry out the urban renewals that we have undertaken in the municipality of Ioannito and beyond that we have managed to have also taken over an examination center for a license to practice a profession, this is a great achievement for both our institution and the Polytechnic School of Ioannina, where the interaction we have together helps both institutions to develop.”
