Code orange will be applied in North Holland and the Wadden area next night and Monday morning due to strong wind gusts from storm Isha. KNMI reported this on Sunday. In the rest of the country the yellow code applies.
The meteorological institute predicts wind gusts between 100 and 110 kilometers per hour. The KNMI warns of possible damage and dangers due to falling trees and flying objects.
According to Weeronline, wind gusts of between 80 and 90 kilometers per hour could occur inland this evening. Other parts of the western part of the country, Friesland and the area around the IJsselmeer will experience wind gusts of between 90 and 95 kilometers per hour.
From this evening the wind will increase from the west of the country. In Zeeland, South Holland, North Holland, Wadden and Friesland the yellow code already applies from 10pm. From mid-Monday morning the wind will decrease and the gusts will disappear.
The wind is still strong mid-morning on Monday. There could still be gusts of wind between 70 and 75 kilometers per hour. On the north coast there are wind gusts of 80 kilometers per hour.
