After the meeting of the National Minimum Wage Council (Conasam), the Ministry of Labor, Employees and Social Security (MTESS) made official the readjustment of the minimum wage, which will be 117,936 guaraníes, which will make the sum reach 2,798,309 Guaraníes.
In a press conference held this morning, the Vice Minister of Labor, César Segovia, announced the determination adopted after the Consam meeting, where it was resolved to approve the readjustment of the current legal minimum wage with an increase of 117,936 guaraníes, as It had already been announced after confirming inflation of 4.4% at the end of May.
On the other hand, the new minimum daily wage will be 107,627 guaraníes, according to the authority of the Labor Ministry.
In this way, the new minimum wage for workers will be established at G. 2,798,309. Likewise, the minimum salaries for other activities and professions contemplated in the law will also undergo a readjustment.
The change will come into effect as of July 1, the date on which private sector companies must begin paying this amount to their employees.
The opinion of Conasam will be submitted to the Executive Branch, in order to make the readjustment of the minimum wage official via decree.
