From April 22, CSDD will have a new series of optional numbers available

On the other hand, on 23.04.2024 from 21.00 e-CSDD platform will offer new series WJ1 – WJ99 and NW100-NW9999 optional numbers for registration of cars, buses and motorcycles.

To choose and apply for a number, follow these steps:

• authorization e-CSDD;
• indicating a vehicle in one’s possession, possession or possession. The number can be chosen for a vehicle registered in Latvia or for a vehicle not registered in Latvia, which has previously been shown in the comparison of unit numbers;
• number selection;
• Selection of CSDD customer service center where license plates will be received;
• payment of number plates for the vehicle;
• receiving a confirmation by e-mail about placing an order.

At the Riga customer service center, license plates can be received within two hours after receiving an application for a license plate change or vehicle registration for the first time. In the regions, license plates can be registered starting from the fourth day after ordering the number in e-CSDD.

Attention! When confirming the order of the selected number, the following payments will have to be made:

• fee for making license plates:
  • for motorcycles, mopeds, trailers, for which 1 license plate must be made – 11.16 euros;
  • for cars, buses, for which 2 license plates can be produced – 22.31 euros;
• room selection fee:
  • EUR 500.00 for cars, buses and motorcycles, if the number is with:
    • for one or two digits,
    • the same combination of numeric symbols
    • a combination of numbers whose first digit is any number and all remaining digits are “0” (zero);
• 150.00 EUR if the number does not meet the above conditions, as well as for the trailer and moped.

The number applied for the vehicle must be registered at the designated customer service center within ten days. When receiving license plates, additional payments for registration must be made. For more information, see: Possibility to choose a state registration number.
