The municipality of Manandona was crowned champion during the fourth edition of the “ Friendship tournament » of the second district of Antsirabe. On Sunday, December 17, at the Kobama Andranomanelatra stadium, the Manandona team triumphed by beating the Ambano team with a score of 2-1 in the final match, thus winning the coveted trophy. The competition was fierce, highlighting the talent and sportsmanship of the participating teams. Vinaninkarena earned third place, while Ambohibary placed fourth. The event was honored by the presence of the deputy of Antsirabe II and the president of the Malagasy Football Federation, who contributed to the success of the tournament by presenting various prizes. Rewards such as oxen, cups, full jerseys, balls and different equipment were distributed to the winners, highlighting the importance of friendship and sporting competition.
According to the organizers, the fifth edition of the tournament promises to be even better. The president of the Malagasy Football Federation, originally from Antsirabe II, assured that the city would see the construction of a synthetic “manara-penitra” stadium by 2024, thus reinforcing the commitment to the development of football in the second district of Antsirabe.
This annual football competition, in addition to promoting camaraderie among local communities, also provides a platform to reveal sporting talents and encourage passion for football in the region.
