Ignore Schildbürger in the federal government
St. Pölten (OTS) – “We must not allow ourselves to be impressed by the Schildbürger in the federal government and must develop all the gas reserves available in Lower Austria,” demanded the liberal club chairman in the Lower Austrian state parliament LAbg. Mag. Reinhard Teufel in view of the test drilling in Molln, Upper Austria.
It is incomprehensible why further test drilling is being carried out in Upper Austria, while in Wittau in Lower Austria it is already completely clear that a huge gas treasure is stored there, said Teufel. “This treasure must be recovered immediately,” emphasized Teufel. The fact that we are waiting here in Wittau while letting an Australian company drill into our gas reserves in Molln is an absolute coup on the part of the federal government, says Teufel.
“It would be a catastrophe for local households and a catastrophe for the local economy and industry to continue the federal government’s energy strategy,” said Teufel. A turnaround is urgently needed. By 2025 at the latest there will no longer be a green energy minister, which is absolutely good news for the supply of gas to the population, Teufel referred to the upcoming National Council elections. It is therefore important to continue drilling now in order to be prepared for Day X after Gewessler – especially in Wittau in Lower Austria, says Teufel.
