Even after a decade, TOEB’s debts to PPC reach, with some from Epirus being among those with the largest debts in the country.
From the data that emerges, the amount of unpaid electricity bills exceeds 100 million euros, while strategic non-payers continued to have electricity at the expense of thousands of consistent farmers.
As can be seen from the data, 37% of the total agricultural consumption comes from TOEB (Local Land Improvement Organizations), which have huge debts that exceed 80 million euros and remain unpaid for many years.
It is indicative that out of the total of 416 TOEBs and 10 GOEBs throughout the country, 28 TOEBs and 4 GOEBs owe 94% of the total debts of Healthcare Improvement Organizations, despite the favorable regulations.
Indicative examples with accumulated debts
-GOEB PEDIADAS ARTAS 3.6 million euros from 2013
– TOEB BOIDA-MAVRIS 2.2 million euros from 2013
-TOEB PARAMITHIAS 1.5 million euros from 2013
-TOEB AHERONDA 3.3 million euros from 2017
Due to the large debts of TOEB, PPC sometimes pulls the switches, as happened in the Paramythia area, with the result that the consequences for farmers are enormous.
