From Peru they reported that the foreign couple suspected of murdering a well-known 68-year-old merchant in San Antonio, Valparaíso region, She was arrested in the city of Tacna.
On February 17, the body of Margarita Farías Rojas was found inside her home. The main suspicions fell on a foreign couple, both of Venezuelan nationality.who were staying at the victim’s home.
Forensic teams maintained that the victim showed asphyxia due to suffocation. Likewise, andA black plastic bag was found in the home. which is suspected to have been the object used for the crime.

The police investigation indicated that both fled to Santiago after the crime. Later they headed towards Arica and then went to Tacna in Peru.
After the crime, the Homicide Brigade (BH) of the Investigative Police (PDI) of San Antonio issued an arrest warrant against the two Venezuelan citizens through coordination with Interpol and the National Police of Peru.
The arrest of the couple was for the crime of robbery with homicide. The investigation is being carried out to find the motives for the crime.
