The football competitions in Portugal and Spain, countries on the European peninsula, already have their return dates set, following the green light given by the governments of both countries.

Following the announcement of the return of Liga NOS, Portugal’s first division championship, announced last week, after prior authorization from the government, the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, authorized the return of La Liga, Spain’s first division, as a way of all sporting activities being resumed in the country.

Therefore, the professional football competitions in Portugal and Spain are scheduled for the 6th and 8th of June respectively, with a series of restriction and prevention measures to be complied with.

In both countries, sporting competitions have already been suspended for more than 75 days, due to the covid-19 pandemic that has strongly affected the European continent.
