Sporting do Bié won today, in the city of Cuito, the football super cup, called “João Custódio, da Silva”, by beating Sporting de Catabola, 2-0.
The goals of the match, played at the Eucaliptos stadium, were scored by Gildo and Cacande, in the 69th and 74th minutes, respectively.
Sporting do Bié, which thus dethrones its current opponent, will be the representative of this province in the national phase of the Angola Cup.
At the end of the match, Sporting do Bié’s assistant coach, Mateus Conjo, made it known that winning this cup, the provincial stage, will galvanize his pupils in the second division championship, in which they will compete for a place in the next Girabola.
For his part, the head coach of Sporting de Catabola, Pascoal Bravo, recognized the superiority of the opposing team, especially in the second half, where his team conceded the goals, due to a marking error.AS/PLB
