Madagascar is ready to defend its title on June 29 and 30, 2024 at the Stade Léo Lagrange.
Two weeks before the start of the 12th edition of the DOM TOM Cup tournament, the list of 17 players was revealed by UFICASM. This year again, UFICASM was asked by RISI, organizer of the tournament to take care of the Malagasy selection as since 2013. Madagascar is among the guests to participate in this tournament while not even being DOM or TOM CUP. The tournament is approved by the Paris League and the French Football Federation. This year, the regulations have changed with a list of 17 players, 14 of whom are under 23 and the other 3 under 30. For this edition, the Malagasy diaspora selection will play in Pool A alongside Guadeloupe, Martinique and France. The vast majority of players called up are all novices and were called up for the first time with the Malagasy team for the DOM TOM Cup. UFICASM focuses on young talents. Many experienced players from Barea A and Barea U23 have gone through the tournament in the past like Faneva Ima known as Rakapy, Bôlida, Toavina known as Deba kely, Dabo, Claudio, Tovohery, Mika, Tony, or others. The Big Island is in the race to win the fourth title after the coronations in 2013, 2014 and 2023. The meeting is then made for June 25 and 26 at the Léo-Lagrange Complex in Bonneuil sur Marne.
