Five people arrested in connection with Matthew Perry’s death

Five people were taken into custody in connection with the ‘ketamine’-related death of Matthew Perry, known for his role as ‘Chandler’ in the famous US TV series Friends.

Famous actor Matthew Perry was found dead in his pool on October 28, 2023. The forensic report regarding Perry’s death stated that he died from the ‘acute effects of ketamine’. Ketamine is a powerful active ingredient used by health authorities in cases of inducing and maintaining anesthesia in patients, and the US Department of Justice has listed ketamine among the substances used as illegal drugs. Perry wrote a book called ‘Friends, Lovers, and the Big Scary Thing’ about drug and alcohol addictions and said the following about addiction: “Addiction, the scariest thing of all, is too strong for anyone to defeat alone. But together, one day we can defeat it.”

“THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF PERRY’S ADDICTION PROBLEMS”

U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada said at a press conference in Los Angeles yesterday that five people, including two doctors, his live-in assistant and a woman known as the “Ketamine Queen,” were taken into custody in connection with Perry’s death. “These individuals took advantage of Mr. Perry’s addiction problems to enrich themselves. They knew what they were doing posed a great danger to Mr. Perry, but they did it anyway,” Estrada said.

AN ADDICTION FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED IN THE NAME OF THE FAMOUS ACTOR

Following the death of the famous actor, it was announced that a foundation was established with the sponsorship of the US independent civil charity National Philanthropic Trust (NPT) to help combat addiction. Stating that they wanted to honor the legacy of Perry, who said in his book about his addiction, “When I die, I don’t want the first thing people talk about to be ‘Friends’; I want the first thing people talk about to be helping others. and I’ll live the rest of my life proving that,” NPT said about the foundation, “The Matthew Perry Foundation is the realization of Matthew’s enduring commitment to helping others struggling with the disease of addiction. It will honor his legacy, be guided by his own words and experiences, and act with a passion to make a difference in as many lives as possible.”
