Before the opening of CES 2024, the most influential technology fair in the world which takes place in Las Vegas, United States, the Samsung company presented several of its new products with which it intends to compete in the sector in the coming months.
One of these bets is the new Neo QLED 8K smart TV which, with the help of artificial intelligence (AI), doubles performance to offer better, much more realistic quality. Furthermore, it improves audio technology and provides a more complete experience in terms of applications and services. The processor, the NQ8 AI Gen3 which has a neural processing unit (NPU), is eight times more powerful than the previous one.
According to Camilo Hurtado, director of Visual Display for Samsung Colombia, the artificial intelligence implemented in these televisions has the ability to load the image up to 8K regardless of the source. This means that in practice if a user watches a recording from the 80s in low resolution, for example, what this TV does is turn it up via the processor.
Motion Enhancer Pro is another important component and what it does is solve common problems in sports programs, such as ball distortion, by streaming these sports activities in high resolution through this feature, powered by the NQ8 AI Gen3. This feature automatically detects the type of sport and uses deep learning to apply the most suitable model for ball detection.

Customizable photo frame with sound
It’s called Music Frame and it’s basically a kind of photo frame with a built-in wireless speaker. It is compatible with SmartThings and provides surround sound when combined with TV and soundbar via Q-Symphony technology which results in much greater and wider quality audio output. It is the second version of this type of speaker.
What is needed? It blends seamlessly into its surroundings by blending into modern frames and provides high-quality sound without being an eyesore.
The South Korean brand also presented its first television with a transparent screen. The MICRO LED, a type of TV that has no resolution: it is infinite. More than just home use, it is designed for offices, shopping centers or stadiums.
It looks similar to a piece of clear glass, features an extremely small chip and a precision manufacturing process that eliminates stitching and light refraction, creating a clear, unobstructed image.
Another novelty was the presentation of three new monitor models: Odyssey OLED G8, Odyssey OLED G6 and Odyssey OLED G9. One of the main aspects of these is that the refresh rate is 240 Hz, something that is crucial for the gaming-loving public. Those milliseconds are essential for a gamer, as is image quality.
Many of these devices presented as part of CES will be available on the Colombian market from the first days of April. “We see that the consumer in Colombia is looking for more technology, advancements and interconnectivity. The future will be artificial intelligence,” Hurtado added.
