“Apart from sales of MSME products, it also comes from the MoU between Riau MSMEs and the Malaysian Malay World Organization (DMDI) Malaysia as well as the MoU with PT Medan Bioenergy,” said CEO Muda Rumah BUMN Riau Dian Pratomo in a statement in Jakarta, Monday (29/4/ 2024).
According to him, the collaboration with Medan Bioenergy is a form of Pertamina’s concern for the environment through Rumah BUMN.
“We created the RB Energy (Renewable Bio Energy) program which collects used cooking oil waste from MSMEs assisted by Rumah BUMN Pekanbaru, Dumai and the Meranti Islands in the culinary sector,” he said.
The party wants to socialize the RB Energy program and at the same time educate the public, including MSMEs, that environmental preservation is not only the responsibility of the government, but also of all parties. KNF is designed to empower and promote MSME products.
This activity provides a platform for business actors to showcase their superior products, interact with potential buyers, and gain insight into trends and best practices in sustainable business. This is in line with the theme of KNF Vol 6, namely Energizing Sustainable Enterprise. For three days, KNF held an exhibition of superior products from 105 MSMEs assisted by BUMN, including food, drinks and handicrafts.
“The implementation of KNF Vol 6 is a concrete manifestation of the Ministry of BUMN to encourage the economy of Pekanbaru City, so that it is hoped that business actors can continue to innovate and think creatively, utilizing resource potential, by leveraging local wisdom, which will have an immediate and long-term impact on MSME players especially in Pekanbaru,” said Dian.
Meanwhile, Pertamina’s Vice President for CSR & SMEPP Management, Fajriyah Usman, emphasized Pertamina’s commitment to supporting MSMEs while encouraging the achievement of the principles of sustainable development goals (SDGs), as well as increasing the environmental awareness of the community, including the younger generation.
“Business actors must start implementing business concepts that are not only beneficial for the economy, but also beneficial for the environment and people’s lives. Therefore, Pertamina will continue to contribute by providing outreach and education to the MSMEs it supports, as well as to the community in building a supply chain that supports sustainable industry,” he explained.
