First Angolan film to arrive on Netflix premieres in a week

The first Angolan film to reach one of the largest streaming platforms in the world, Netflix, entitled “Santana”, has its world premiere, scheduled for next Friday (28).

The co-production by Maradona Dias dos Santos and Chris Roland is expected to become the first Angolan film ever to be available on Netflix next week and will have its unprecedented premiere, despite having been recorded in 2014.

The action film, according to information available on the streaming platform, is a story based on real events, about two brothers, one a general and the other, an agent in the narcotics division who discover the identity of the drug dealer, responsible for the murder of their parents. .

The cast includes Angolan actors Paulo Americano, Neide Van-Dúnem and Raul Rosário, Nigerian Hakeem Kae-Kazim and South African Jenna Upton.

Directed and written by the Angolan Maradona Dias dos Santos and the American, based in South Africa, Chris Roland, “Santana”, is a co-production by the Angolan Giant Sables Media and the South African Zen HQ Films.
