First Angolan doctor died from Covid-19

This week, the first Angolan doctor, who worked on the front line fighting Covid-19, died from the same disease.

Confirmation of the doctor’s physical illness was made by the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, on Thursday night (23), during the press conference of the multisectoral commission.

This information was provided at a time when the World Health Organization (WHO) revealed that in Africa there is a high number of health technicians infected by covid-19.

The death of the 2nd National Commander of Civil Protection and firefighters, member of the defense and security forces, was also announced.

33 people have died from Covid-19 in the country, out of 872 confirmed cases of the disease.
