Firefighting aircraft support from Azerbaijan to Turkey

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

According to the statement made by the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, bilateral relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan, regional and global developments were discussed during the meeting.

FIRE AIRCRAFT SUPPORT FROM AZERBAIJAN TO TURKEY

During the meeting, Azerbaijani President Aliyev conveyed his wishes for a speedy recovery to President Erdoğan regarding the forest fires. Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan was ready to provide all kinds of support in the fight against forest fires and that he gave instructions for a firefighting aircraft to join the work in Turkey.

President Erdoğan also thanked the Azerbaijani people for their support and stated that the brotherhood between Turkey and Azerbaijan is further strengthened in such days.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared a thank you message to Azerbaijan on the X social media platform. The statement read, “We would like to thank Can Azerbaijan for its valuable support in extinguishing forest fires across our country.”
