Final result of the 2024 AK election in Upper Austria – 2024-03-24 11:36:50

Linz (OTS) The final result of the 2024 AK election in Upper Austria has now been determined. The main election commission determined today, Friday: The Social Democratic Trade Unionists (FSG) won the election with 66.13 percent (-4.88 percent) and will again have Andreas Stangl as the AK president.

The Freedom Workers/Freedom Party of Austria (FA-FPÖ) came in second with 14.98 percent. This is an increase of 4.78 percent compared to 2019. This is followed by the Austrian Employees’ Association/Faction of Christian Trade Unionists (ÖAAB-FCG) with 11.11 percent (-2.30 percent).

The Alternatives and Greens/Independent Trade Unionists (AUGE/UG) received 3.94 percent of the votes (-0.28 percent), the PFG, which took part for the first time, got 2.44 percent (+2.44 percent) and the Trade Union Left Bloc (GLB) got 1.41 percent (+0.25 percent).

For the general assembly of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Labor, the election result in mandates means: FSG 75 (-4), FA-FPÖ 16 (+5), ÖAAB/FCG 12 (-3), AUGE/UG 4 (+/-0), PFG 2 (+2) and GLB 1 (same).

As before, the FSG will occupy all five seats in the Presidium (President plus four Vice Presidents). In the 15-member board (president and 14 members), the distribution of seats now looks like this: FSG: 11 (same), FA-FPÖ: 2 (+1), ÖAAB/FCG: 1 (-1).
