News from Angola – The nationally produced film “The Emigrant” will premiere on the 26th of this month, at ZAP Cinema.
The movie is directed by Levis Albano, tells the story of Angolan Lukamba, illegally residing in Portugal, with his visa having expired, the character refuses to return to his country of origin and does everything to obtain a residence permit, even reaching marrying a successful Portuguese woman, who falls madly in love with the Angolan emigrant.
According to the press release that Notícias de Angola had access to today, in the fight for legalization, Lukamba and his girlfriend, Katula, Angolans and illegal immigrants, experience a series of adventures, with love and hate in the mix.
To this end, several well-known Angolan actors from national television drama stand out, including Lialzio de Almeida, as Lukamba, and Erica Chissapa, as Katula. Portuguese, Cape Verdean and other Angolan actors make up the cast of “O Emigrante”.
