OTT platform Charki has taken a new initiative to bring domestic content to the international level. Signed a contract with a production house called Film Syndicate for the next three years.
On this occasion, a press conference was held at Dhaka Club in the capital on Wednesday afternoon. Charki’s CEO Redwan Roni said that the film syndicate will present 10 web series to the audience through Charki in the next three years. Among the 10 contents, the producer has finished shooting a web series of Shawqi. It will be released in few days.

Earlier popular Bengali web series like Unlaukik, Takdeer, Kaizer, Karagar have been produced from Film Syndicate. Syed Shawki, Tanim Noor, Krishendu Majumdar, Mokarram Shubo, Romel Chowdhury, Sobhan Sonnet are involved as producers. Film Syndicate has taken the initiative to produce 10 content in the next three years with Charki. Where more new storytellers are getting opportunities.
On this day, Redwan Rony said that collaboration always brings benefits. I hope this collaboration of Charki with Syndicate will be fruitful. Charki is getting good currency from Bangladesh as well as abroad. Last month, 50 percent of Charki’s income came from outside the country.
Producer Syed Ahmed Shawki said, there were risks before taking content creation as a profession. But that risk is being mitigated by OTT’s welfare. We were looking for a field to play properly. Charki gave us the opportunity to play the World Cup.
