News from Angola – The crime film entitled “Sleeping Dogs – The Web” will return, Friday (12), at Zap Cinema, in Luanda, telling a story that puts renowned actor Russell Crowe to the test in an adventure full of twists and turns and dangers.
According to a press release that Notícias de Angola had access to, the “thriller” based on the work of “The Book of Mirrors”, follows former homicide detective Roy Freeman (Russel Crowe) in search of the truth about a “brutal” murder of a university professor that occurred decades ago.
Subjected to an experimental treatment to control Alzheimer’s, Roy fights against memory and time to solve a crime that he himself investigated, but doesn’t remember.
In addition to Russell Crowe, winner of an Oscar for his role in “Gladiator”, the cast includes Marton Csókás, known as Lord Celeborn in “Lord of the Rings”, Karen Gillan and Tommy Flanagan from “Guardians of the Galaxy”.
This month, Zap Cinema will premiere films such as “Civil War” on the 17th and “Profession: Danger” on April 30th.
