Fencing works on D. Filosofou

Fencing works for security reasons will be carried out on Paralimnia Street, in a section of Dionysiou Filosofou Street, on Monday 11/03/24.

In particular, the passage of pedestrians and vehicles will be prohibited for the next period in an area of ​​the paralimni where a landslide risk has been identified from the rocky slopes of the Castle of Ioannina.

With this arrangement, a vehicle traffic lane will remain active, as well as the pedestrian and bicycle traffic area along the lake, while parking will not be possible for a part of the road surface.

At the same time, the Municipality of Ioannina is taking the necessary actions to permanently solve the corrosion issue that has been identified, in cooperation with the specialized scientific state agencies.
