Just a few weeks after announcing the end of production of the Dodge Challenger and Charger, which have been with us for nearly two decades, and the appearance of a Christmas card giving a first look at the model, Dodge finally shows us the first images of the long-awaited Dodge Charger EV, a model that will forever transform the famous American muscle car with a zero-emission powertrain – although there will also be a combustion variant, of course, without a V8.

From what we can see in these images We are faced with a final version very similar to the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT EV concept that the American company showed us for the first time in 2022, which at the same time maintains the muscular and retro design of the outgoing Challenger, albeit now with an even thinner grille that houses two very hidden and no longer round headlights, a thin line of LEDs that frames the grille below and as we have already seen now is the time to preside over the area with a new Fratzog logo, specific for the brand’s new high-performance electric vehicles. Despite its new nature, we still have a voluminous bonnet with pronounced air intakes and a front bumper that also marks character.
Dodge still doesn’t clarify what the final name will be, but everyone takes it for granted that it will receive the Charger name, which if we consider that it is a coupe, would mean the return of the Charger name on a two-door. format from those golden 60s and 70s that made the model famous.

On a mechanical level we know that the main role will be played by 100% electric mechanics which promises to offer the same performance levels as a combustion Hellcat Redeye, which would imply exceeding 800 HP, confirmed with all-wheel drive.. At the time, the 800-volt electrical architecture called Banshee was presented, which will allow faster charging, better cooling of electric motors and lighter wiring.
