FBI accesses phone of Donald Trump’s attacker

Following the assassination attempt against former US President (2017 – 2021) and current Republican candidate for the November elections, Donald Trump, the FBI announced that it has managed to access the phone of Thomas Matthew Crooksthe 20-year-old man who shot Trump.

In a statement, the FBI explained that “FBI technical specialists have successfully accessed the phone of Thomas Matthew Crooks, and are continuing to analyze his electronic devices.”

The FBI stressed that its investigation into Saturday’s shooting, which it is treating as a potential act of domestic terrorism, is still in its early stages and it urged patience.

So far, the FBI has made about 100 interviews with law enforcement personnel who was at the rally where Trump was shot, as well as assistants to that event and Other witnesses.

Trump was injured on Saturday when, while giving a rally in the state of Pennsylvania, A man shot him with an AR-15 assault rifle from a rooftop outside the event’s security perimeter.
