Fatal crash between tankers in Lurín leaves one dead and one injured

A tragic traffic accident occurred in the district of Lurin, Limaspecifically in the Las Huertas de Pachacamac sector, when two tankers collided violently. The impact was fatal for Humberto Román Suárez, the driver of one of the tankers, while his co-pilot was injured and was taken to the Emergency Hospital in Villa El Salvador.

According to the testimonies of the neighbors of the area, the brakes of the truck driven by Suárez failed, which triggered the fatal collision with the other vehicle. Suárez was trapped between the twisted metal of the tanker, and despite the efforts of the neighbors to help him, they were unable to free him in time.

Sedapal, the company responsible for the water supply in Lima, issued a statement confirming the death of Humberto Román Suárez, who worked for the contractor Construcciones y Servicios Generales. The statement expressed the company’s condolences to the family of the deceased and assured that they will collaborate with the relevant investigations.

The prosecutor arrived at the scene of the accident several hours later to proceed with the removal of Suárez’s body, who leaves behind two minor children. The community of Lurín is shocked by the incident and has requested that measures be taken to prevent similar accidents from occurring in the future.
