On June 17, 1924, with the efforts of Martiros Saryan, Armenia participated in the 14th Venice International Biennale, where the works of 6 Armenian artists were presented: Martiros Saryan, Yeghishe Tadevosyan, Vardges Surenyants, Panos Terlemezyan, Sedrak Arakelyan and Taragros Ter-Vardanyan, in total: 20 pictures.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of that memorable event. Fastex and the Martiros Saryan House-Museum have embarked on the digital reproduction of the Armenian wall of paintings presented at the Venice Biennale a century ago.
On June 17th, the AKNEYE figital space at 2124a Ramo de la Tana in Venice will screen a documentary about it all, revealing the unprecedented and historic event that took place 100 years ago. Guests from Armenia and all over the world will be present.
