Popular actress Tasnia Farin won the Crystal Simorg Award at Iran’s traditional Fajr International Film Festival. He received this award in the Outstanding Artistic Contribution category in recognition of his impeccable performance in the movie ‘Fatima’. Farin himself told this news in his Facebook post.
However, Farin was not present during the awarding ceremony. The film’s director Dhruv Hassan accepted the award on his behalf. Describing this, Farin wrote, ‘Thank you to the 42nd Fajr Film Festival for honoring me with the Crystal Simorg Award in the Eastern Vista category for my film Fatima. I wanted to receive the award from one more day, but I couldn’t stay.’

Farin also writes, ‘But director Dhruv Hasan Bhaiya took the award on my behalf. There is no happier moment than this. Thank you Jury for loving my work and thank you for the warm welcome I received in Tehran. It was truly a dream moment.’
Farin’s film was screened in the festival’s Eastern Vista section on the afternoon of February 8. Movies from Asian-Islamic countries competed in this category.

‘Situation of Mahdi’ has been selected as the best film at this year’s Fajr Film Festival. It was built by Hadi Hejazi Far. Besides, Reza Mir Karimi won the best director award for the movie ‘Night Guard’.
Tannaz Tabatabayi won the best actress award. He received this award for the film ‘Without Her’. Amin Hayayi won the best actor award. He won this award for the movie ‘Last Snow’.
At the beginning of his career, Fareen acted in a full-length film called Fatima. The story of this movie directed by Dhruv Hassan revolves around the challenges of a woman during the 1971 Liberation War. Apart from Farine, it also stars Manas Banerjee, Panth Kanai, Yash Rohan, Tariq Anam Khan, Shatabdi Wadud, ABM Suman, Shahed Ali, Ayesha Monika and many others.
