Famous skier Vlhová: She came out with a shocking truth!

The worst is behind her, but she still has a lot of work to do to get back on the slopes where she regularly shines. Slovak skier Petra Vlhová (28) is undergoing rehabilitation after knee surgery, which she injured in January during the World Cup in Jasná. But now she revealed that the terrible injury was not directly caused by the fall! So what?

A moment was enough and the dream of this year’s overall first place in the World Cup vanished. On January 20, skier Petra Vlhová seriously injured her knee in front of her home audience in Jasná. Specifically, she injured her anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus. That ended the season for her. This was followed by an operation in Switzerland, where her beloved partner Michal Kyselica also arrived for the three-time Olympic Games participant.

Petra decided to record her difficult journey back to the slopes and is documenting everything for her fans in the series called Comeback. In the first episode, of course, she talked about the fall in Jasná.

Schoolboy mistake

“I made a schoolboy mistake in the blue gate and fell on the inside ski. The problem was that I tried to get up right away. Then my ski got caught and that caused two cracks.” she revealed the reason for the injury, which was not due to the fall itself.

The following weeks were really difficult for Vlhová. But as she recently published on the social network, the situation is already changing for the better. “I’m feeling better, we’re continuing to rehabilitate and the knee is looking better every day,” she wrote on Instagram. So let’s hope that the golden Olympian will be ready for the start of the next season.
