The head of the SYRIZA Parliamentary Group, Sokratis Famellos, used harsh language to respond to Giorgos Floridis for the attack he launched against the opposition during the debate on the motion of no confidence against the government, stressing that the Minister of Justice has become “more far-right by Makis Voridis”.
“I suggest that he meet with the families of the victims, who came and found us and described to us how they were looking for weeks after the tragic accident to find personal belongings of their children or relatives, where they were transported with the rubble together, the remains of the accident” , Mr. Famellos pointed out.
And he added: “It’s not that Mr. Floridis doesn’t have conscience, he doesn’t have morals either. He went so far as a modern-day political janissary to accuse us of left-wing fascism. His downfall and his populism are well known. He has become more far-right than Mr. Voridis,” he underlined.
“Let Karamanlis answer to the train drivers’ court”
“The trust of the people and of Europe towards the Greek democracy has been shaken by this government, Mr. Mitsotakis and Mr. Floridis as Minister of Justice of this government,” he also noted.
It is recalled that Giorgos Floridis said that “those of the politicians who talk about bazomata, are for the rubbish”, while he continued with ironies, saying: “The place is said to be bazoomed, just imagine! Oh what soils are these?’
At the same time, he accused the parties of the progressive arc of “left-wing fascism”, invoking the phrase of Mikis Theodorakis about the Prespa Agreement, because they insist on the charge of cover-up, which “is intended to be minimized until the trust of the Greek people towards the institutions of the Greek democracy”, as emphasized by the president of K.O. of SYRIZA/
At the same time, Sokratis Famellos formulated a series of questions addressed to Kostas Ach. Karamanlis, in view of the expected placement of the former Minister of Transport in the Parliament.
Among other things, he challenged Mr. Karamanlis in advance to answer why he ignored the written warnings of Mr. Spiliopoulos, former president and CEO of OSE, Mr. Tsalidis, former CEO of TRAINOSE, Mr. Katsioulis who was the chairman of the committee ETCS, as well as the driver’s license.
He also noted that the Mitsotakis government does not answer for the tampering at the scene of the tragedy, nor for the “editing” of the station master’s conversations.
