Relatives of the victims poisoned in Goiânia speak about the case for the first time

Fantástico this Sunday (31) exclusively interviewed the victim family of Amanda Partata, a 31-year-old lawyer who, according to the police, killed her former father-in-law and her mother with a poisoned cake in Goiás. the crime occurred after her death with Dr. Leonardo Pereira Alves Filho.

The family said they never suspected Amanda. “She was sweet and docile, with a big heart. She conquered the whole family”, explains Eliane Lima Pereira Alves, mother of Amanda’s ex-boyfriend and ex-wife of Leonardo (victim).

“We are still in shock. I think reality hasn’t fully reached me yet, in addition to the sadness there is all this shock”, says Maria Paula, the doctor’s sister.

“How were we deceived like this? How come we haven’t seen it? How cruel. He had never crossed my mind,” adds Eliane.

Amanda and Doctor Leonardo, who has the same name as her father, dated for just a month and a half, between June and August this year.

Leonardo Filho, who did not live with his parents, did not want to give an interview, but Fantástico had access to his statement.

The doctor told police he broke up with Amanda on August 11. That night he received a message from his ex-girlfriend with a photo of a positive pregnancy test: according to the police, the pregnancy was fake.

Amanda even hosted a reveal tea, and among the guests was her former father-in-law, Leonardo Pereira, who expressed happiness after learning he was going to be a grandfather.

Leonardo Filho began to be threatened by Amanda after the breakup and did not inform his family: he wanted to preserve the bond his family would have with the alleged son.

In a text exchange, Amanda asks her ex-boyfriend: “Are you more afraid of dying than losing someone you love?”

For the police, the message makes it clear that Amanda did not accept the end of the relationship and began to plan how to hurt her ex.

“Let’s look back and see, right? We see that from the beginning he was very, very manipulated,” concludes Maria Paula, the doctor’s sister.
