Actor Ian Gelder, recognized for his role as “Kevan Lannister” in the series “Game of Thrones”, died at the age of 74 after a battle with cancer.
The news was shared by her husband, actor Ben Daniels. In a moving message on Instagram, Daniels expressed her pain: “With a heavy heart, broken into a million pieces“He remembered Gelder as his rock, his companion of more than three decades.
“If we weren’t together, we talked to each other every day. He was the kindest, most generous and loving human being.”he added, highlighting not only his human quality, but also his exceptional artistic talent.
Daniels accompanied the emotional text with a photograph of them both smiling during Christmas, after Gelder left the hospital, highlighting their joy despite the difficulties.

The relationship between Gelder and Daniels originated in 1993 during the theater production “Entertaining Mr Sloane.”
Gelder was diagnosed with bile duct cancer in December, and his departure came unexpectedly.
In addition to his prominent role in “Game of Thrones”, Gelder participated in various productions such as “Doctor Who” and “His Dark Materials.”
