New Delhi (Viswas News). In a video viral on different social media platforms, two different visual clips can be seen, which are related to the assault and murder of a person respectively. It is being claimed that this video of assault and murder is from India, where people of a particular community killed a person by slitting his throat after beating him.
Vishvas News found this claim to be false in its investigation. The viral video is of two different incidents which have been combined with the help of editing. The video of the assault incident is from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, in which no murder took place. The video of the murder is of a gang war in Venezuela, which has been combined into a single video with the help of editing.

Social media user ‘Kailash bishnoi’ shared the viral video (archive Link) While sharing the clip, he wrote, “*Look, see a man being slaughtered.* Spread this video so much that the voice reaches every Hindu’s ears and the message reaches India’s *Prime Minister Modiji*. Every Hindu swears in the name of *Bharat Mata* that this video should not stop. This shameless Mullah should be hanged. *Jai Shri Ram Jai Shri Ram*”

On doing a reverse image search of the key frames of the viral video, we found the video posted on the ex-handle of nationalist Brijesh Yadav and shared on May 5, 2021.
Commenting on this video from the official x handle of Muzaffarnagar police, it has been described as an incident of Bhopa police station area of the district, in which it has been informed that a case has been registered against 10-12 accused.
This incident is mentioned in many other news reports. Jagran’s May 28, 2021 Report According to the report, the police have arrested five accused who were absconding on the charges of assaulting and forcibly dragging an electric lineman into his house in Sikri village of Muzaffarnagar.
We did not find any mention of murder in this incident in any report. That means the video clip of murder is of a different incident. To find the original source, we did a reverse image search of the key frames of this clip. In the search, we found a video of February 6, 2018.
