At around 10 pm tonight, many users in Vietnam as well as around the world suddenly could not log in to their Facebook accounts for unknown reasons.
Accordingly, many users in Vietnam said that when opening the Facebook application on their phone or opening Facebook on their computer, Facebook suddenly announced that the user had logged out of their account.
When many users try to log in again, Facebook reports an error that their username and password are incorrect. Many users said they entered the correct name and password but Facebook still “did not allow” them to log in.
Many users were worried that they had entered the wrong password so they clicked on the password reset feature. However, when they clicked here and followed Facebook’s requests to change their password, Facebook continued to report an error, causing many users to be confused.
More than 500,000 people globally have shared Facebook’s errors.
Many users are extremely worried and share information on other communication applications such as Zalo, Telegram,… about this incident. Many people said they thought their Facebook account had been hacked so they tried everything to log in but were completely “helpless”.
On the website specializing in error statistics of social networking applications, Downdetector, it was recorded that in the past hour, more than 500,000 people around the world reported this Facebook error.
Users not only in Vietnam but globally have reported problems logging in and accessing their Facebook accounts, as well as experiencing similar errors with other services including Instagram, Threads and WhatsApp.
Currently, Meta, Facebook’s parent company, has not yet announced anything about this incident.
At 11 p.m. on March 5 (Vietnam time), this incident was still ongoing.
Update: At 11:30 p.m. (Vietnam time), many users said they had logged back into Facebook normally.
