Eyüpsultan Municipality Continues its Spraying Works Against Mosquitoes and Pests

Eyüpsultan Municipality continues its disinfection activities against mosquitoes, houseflies, walking insects and rodents throughout the district.

Eyüpsultan Municipality teams continue their disinfection work at certain points and in line with the demands of the citizens. Disinfestation teams affiliated with the Veterinary Affairs Directorate continue their disinfection efforts for larvae, mosquitoes, houseflies, walking insects and rodents for 12 months in order to protect public health throughout the district. In line with these studies, the number of pesticide vehicles was increased from 3 to 10.

In the disinfection works carried out uninterruptedly in 29 neighborhoods in the district, water wells, water accumulated in building basements, old automobile tires, empty flower pots, old paint cans, open-topped water tanks, ornamental pools, flower watering containers, barrels full of water, green and Larvicide studies are carried out by identifying areas such as wetlands, abandoned buildings, sewage connections in apartment gardens, unused water tanks, wells and manure heaps in areas where animal husbandry is carried out.

Eyüpsultan Municipality Veterinary Affairs Directorate continues its routine disinfection work against pests and rodents walking on the streets and sewers throughout the district. In addition to these works, the teams also evaluate the requests coming to the call center and intervene by identifying the necessary source points in public areas, parks, private areas, streets and street sewers. While the studies are carried out with great care, the Veterinary Affairs Directorate, which prioritizes environmental and human health, carries out practices in line with the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles of Disinfestation Against Pests in the Field of Public Health, with products recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and licensed by the Ministry of Health. – ISTANBUL
