RAB has arrested seven folks on the cost of unlawful extortion from numerous automobiles in Rangpur.
They had been arrested from the open space of Rangpur-Nilphamari freeway on Wednesday (Might 16) night time. A truck was additionally seized.
The arrested are Chan Mia (56), son of deceased Abul Hossain of Dakshin Khaleya Bazar space, founding father of Chandabaz Chakra, Amal Chandra Roy (40), son of Anil Chandra of Lalchandpur Hindu Para of Sadar police station, Alauddin (18) son of deceased Rafiqul Islam of OC Para of Gangasagar police station, Nayatari space. Farukh Mia (19) son of Aminur Rahman, Jahangir Alam (56) son of Tashir Uddin of Gokul Nawapara, Mohsin Ali (40) son of Sultan Ali of Gokul Kazipara and Majidul Islam (42) son of Mumtaz Ali of North Khalea space of Gangachara police station.
RAB-13 Deputy Director (Media) Mahmud Bashir Ahmed confirmed the matter to Jago Information on Thursday (Might 17) afternoon.
He mentioned that for a very long time within the space of Gangachara police station, his associates underneath the management of Chan Miah within the South Khalea space of Rangpur-Nilphamari freeway had been amassing extortion from numerous items automobiles.
