An explosion occurred in a building in Schiedam during the night between Monday and Tuesday. The wave of violence in and around Rotterdam appears to continue. The number of explosives incidents in 2023 was almost three times higher than the previous year.
The explosion in Schiedam occurred at 00:05 on the Herautpad. No one was injured, police said. The police have launched an investigation.
Last week there was also an explosion in Schiedam on the night between Thursday and Friday. Vlaardingen was also surprised by an explosion that night.
The Rotterdam police reported an explosion on the X day around 0.30 am under an arcade in Diepenbrockstraat in Schiedam. The porch was damaged, but no one was injured.
