During the months of January and February, the XIII version of the International Mime and Physical Theater Festival was held, a summer cultural event, which is already a tradition in the city of La Serena and has extensions for the months of March and April.
In this edition, the festival will present “Full Fantasy”, an exhibition of human statues that will be held at the Open Air Museum on Francisco de Aguirre Avenue.
This activity seeks to recognize the cultural heritage of the commune and the statues affected in the social outbreak, which is why in recognition of this public space, 20 living statues will be exhibited, replicating some sculptures on the avenue, along with an exhibition of history of this historical cultural point.
The intervention will be directed by the plastic artist, cultural manager and executive producer of FEIM, Constanza Ortiz Fellenberg and organized in collaboration with the Seremi of Cultures, Arts and Heritage of the Coquimbo Region.
Constanza’s invitation is to all the inhabitants of La Serena, emphasizing that this Open Air Museum belongs to the entire Serena community. Furthermore, the artist comments that the intervention will be “accompanied by different proposals, both aesthetic and social criticism in its staging, and that she will be accompanied by a DJ who will play electronic music and other performance artists.” It should be noted that entry is free and is open to the public.
