The excise rate for single-use electronic cigarettes, hookahs and their substitutes is increased from 0.25 manats to 2 manats.
Publika.az reports that the related issue was reflected in the amendment to the Tax Code discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis.
According to the amendment, the excise rate is increased from 43 manats to 45.5 manats per 1000 pieces of thin cigarettes, and from 38.5 manats to 45.5 manats per 1000 pieces of tobacco cigarettes and their substitutes.
The excise rate will be 16 manats for every 1,000 units of products intended for inhaling or containing recovered tobacco.
Currently, the excise rate is 14.0 manat per 1000 units of tobacco and tobacco products consumed as a result of heating (vapor).
Excise rate for potable alcohol (including undenatured ethyl alcohol with an alcohol content of less than 80 percent, undenatured ethyl alcohol with an alcohol content of less than 80 percent), vodka (vodka), fortified beverages and fortified beverage materials, liqueurs and liqueur products, cognac and all cognac materials from 4.0 manats to 4.8 manats per liter.
After discussions, the draft law was put to the vote and adopted in the third reading.
