A discussion meeting on encouraging mariners to send remittances through legal channels was recently held in Chittagong on the initiative of Bangladesh Marine Academy and in collaboration with Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC.
Commandant of Bangladesh Marine Academy Captain Md. Under the chairmanship of Ibn Qaiser Taimur, Deputy Managing Director of Islami Bank Miftah Uddin spoke as the chief guest.
Bangladesh Marine Academy CEO Khalid Mahmud, Chief Engineer Atiqur Rahman, Islami Bank Executive Vice President and Head of Chittagong North Zone Mohammad Nurul Hossain and Senior Vice President and Head of International Services Wing Mohammad Ihsanul Islam were present as guests.
Executive Vice President and Head of Agrabad Corporate Branch Abdul Nasser and Bangladesh Marine Academy Adjutant Golam Mosafa gave welcome speech.
In the event, Senior Assistant Vice President Saifuddin Mohammad Khaled and Md. discussed the importance of opening bank accounts and sending remittances through legitimate channels. Mainul Islam Executives and officials of both the organizations along with Mariner were present at this time.
