Euro 2024 Most Popular of All Time, 2.3 Million Tickets Sold Out

JAKARTA – Ticket requests in two registration phases Euro 2024 reached more than 50 million. This is the most popular European championship of all time.

To accommodate the high demand, nearly 2.3 million tickets (or 85%) of the 2.7 million tickets have been made available to the general public and team fans.

So far, an additional 93,147 tickets are planned to be available, meaning more supporters will have the opportunity to cheer on their team in the stadium.

Quoted by uefa.com, the increase in the number of seats available is the result of ticket returns and finalizing the stadium configuration. As part of the Fans First program, these tickets were offered and purchased by fans who were initially unsuccessful in voting.

Euro 2024 ticket sales facts

1. Breaking records of 20 million requests for first phase tickets for the general public and 30 million requests for second phase tickets dedicated to supporters of participating teams.

2. Fans from the following countries have purchased the most tickets, namely Germany, England, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

3. In a last-minute sale in May, more than 100 thousand tickets were offered, with almost one million fans visiting ticket portals to purchase these tickets.

4. Number of tickets allocated to the general public to date: 1,266,004.

5. Number of tickets currently sold and reserved for fans of participating teams: 1,027,143, of which 220,767 are reserved for fans of teams that qualify for knockout games.
